Trump & America’s Return to the Monroe Doctrine

To understand President Trump’s volatile foreign policy, there is no better document to study than the “2026 National Defense Strategy”. After delineating the global threat, the 2026 National defense Strategy calls upon US allies and partners to do more rapidly, “not as a favor to Americans but for their own interests.”

As a part of its strategic approach, the US Department of War has identified four lines of effort. In this article I explain them all and provide an analysis of the current geopolitical crises and the role the US will employ in the coming months.
