A Renewed & Limited War on the Horizon in the Middle East

As the 60-day interim ceasefire agreement comes to an end this week, will the Middle East return to a full-blown war? In this article, I write about the end of the ceasefire, Iran’s warnings to the US about its “behaviour”, and secret nuclear deal in Syria.
Will the Middle East Return to War?

The U.S. and the regional power in the Middle East, Israel, are preparing what could be one of the harshest strike waves yet against Iran’s energy infrastructure.
The preparations to strike over the weekend was postponed to give an opportunity for diplomacy.
The targets under discussion include power plants and refineries, with high-level talks also held about cutting electricity across Tehran.
A number of Iran’s neighbours that were attacked by the Iranian regime is coordinating with Washington. President Trump has not yet given the final execution order, but the military preparation is already in place.
Did Hamas dissolve its government in Gaza to save the regime?

The transition into the next phase of the US-brokered peace plan remains gridlocked. Irrespective of the party in power, Israel will reject any long-term administrative or security model that permits a continued Hamas footprint. Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, emphasize that the true sticking point remains Hamas’ disarmament and refusal to surrender its weapons.
In this article, I write about the Hamas move to dissolve its rule of the Gaza strip and what this may entail.
The Rise of Jewish Terrorism During the Iran War

Violence has increased in the West Bank following the war with Iran, with reports of “hilltop youth” (radical settlers) committing acts described as a “fight for control of the territory” and aiming to uproot Palestinians, often with the support of some government members.
I urge Israeli leaders to do everything necessary to curb settler violence in the West Bank and persecute individuals responsible for inciting violence.
Will the radicalisation of protesters lead to more terrorist attacks in Australia?

Both the terrorist attackers that participated in the Bondi beach participated in the pro-Palestine protests. These protests even said “gas the Jews”. These protests are radicalising people on a dangerously large scale.
As Israeli President ends his visit to Australia, there is much to learn and do. The international security community has to act fast, including the Australian government too.
In the link below, I write about the developments in Australia amidst this Head of State visit and outline the extent to which the protestors are willing to go to spread anti-semitism and violence.
Israel’s Enduring Offensive and Defensive Capabilities

The updated Israeli defense structure reflects a strategic shift toward preparing for Iranian ballistic-missile threats, rather than primarily Gaza-based rocket fire.
Iran is determined to produce a fully functional nuclear weapon and support its partners and proxies with missiles and drones.
In this article, I write about Israel’s success in air defence, it’s partnership with the US and how practitioners working in national security may learn and analyse how Israel, surrounded by enemies, is responding to the barrage of threats that they have intercepted since October 7th 2023.
Israel kills Hezbollah’s New Chief of Staff

Now that Iran has started to rearm Hezbollah once again, Israel struck Lebanon’s capital on November 23, 2025. Without an evacuation warning, Israel struck Lebanon for the first time since June 2025, killing Hezbollah’s Chief of Staff Haitham Ali Tabataba’i.
The end game: A terror-free Gaza

On Oct 28, 2025, the fighting resumed.
The IDF Air Force F16s bombing resumed strikes against Hamas.
The limited operation was in retaliation to Hamas handing over the remnants of a body of a hostage on October 27 that the IDF had already recovered.
The IDF stated that the body of the deceased hostage handed over by Hamas was recovered from a building, and then covered with sand and staged.
When the Red Cross arrived, Hamas pretended to have just recovered the body from beneath the ground.
The IDF was observing the entire act of Hamas deception from its observation post. Israel stated that Hamas knows where the captive hostages are and continues to play games.
Will the people of Palestine and the people of Israel ever live in security? Read the full article below.
Don’t be fooled by Hamas

With no regret, Hamas is viewed today and in the coming years as a group that damaged and destroyed the lives of people. Hamas patrons and supporters should understand that Hamas is NOT a resistance movement.
Dr. Ezzideen Shehab, a 28-year-old doctor in northern Gaza, born and raised in Jabaliya, had to say much about the victory narrative that Hamas is trying to sell to the world.

Trump: ‘The war is over. Do you understand that?’

Today, Monday Oct 13, 2025, President Donald J. Trump will convene “The Middle East Peace Plan” with 20 chiefs of state and heads of government in Egypt.
The U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, and Chief of Staff Dan Cane will join President Trump on his visit to Israel briefly and then to Egypt.
In this article, I lay out President Trump’s hopes while he heads this historic visit to the Middle East, and juxtapose it with the Hamas hopes and plans.
